Ms. Riffel is responsible for leading the implementation of an enterprise-wide financial and acquisition management system in cooperation with the administrations and staff offices. Through her leadership, VA will leverage the VA Enterprise Cloud to host CGI’s SaaS Momentum offering. VA’s configured solution is known as Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System (iFAMS). She leads the program's vision to provide VA a modern financial and acquisition management solution with transformative business processes and capabilities that enable VA to meet its goals and objectives in compliance with financial management legislation and directives. Through her guidance and leadership, the financial system transformation effort will increase the transparency, accuracy, timeliness and reliability of financial information, resulting in improved fiscal accountability to American tax payers and will offer a significant opportunity to improve care and services to Veterans. The panel will discuss how VA is modernizing and integrating its financial and acquisition environments through the Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) program and its deployment of the Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System (iFAMS). This is the largest transformation effort in VA history and represents a comprehensive improvement in business processes, decision-making, and services, which will in turn enhance the Veteran experience.
