Sabrina Clark

Director, VA Center for Development & Civic Engagement Department of Veterans Affairs

Dr. Sabrina Clark has served as the National Director of the VA Center for Development & Civic Engagement (CDCE) since 2013. Given a strategic name change from VA Voluntary Service in 2021, she led the historic evolution of one of the oldest program offices within VHA, integrating volunteers and community partners into the fabric of Veteran's healthcare and services since 1946. She is excited to continue building the capacity of CDCE, having completed two critical detail assignments, one as the Acting Medical Center Director and CEO of the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, MI and the other as Executive Strategic Advisor to VHA's Office of Healthcare Innovation & Learning (OHIL). An ongoing learner, Dr. Clark is encouraged by the strength and knowledge gained from these recent assignments, allowing her to courageously lead efforts to build tools and processes to ensure equity across VHA and leverage our communities nationwide for strategic collaboration and impact to foster a stronger and more effective support for Veterans, families, caregivers, and their survivors.
