Community Engagement Partnerships Coordinator, Suicide Prevention Program Washington D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center

Kelley Tubbs serves as the Community Engagement Partnerships Coordinator for the Washington DC VA Medical Center Suicide Prevention Program. Kelley began his career serving as the Intake Clinician and Therapist for the Oklahoma City Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team working with those living with Schizophrenia, PTSD, Major Depression, and bipolar disorder. Following this position Kelley became a Social Worker at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. Kelley worked for two years in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC) prior to accepting a position with the Washington DC VA Medical Center as a VA Liaison for Health Care at Fort Belvoir, VA from 2012-2021. This role consisted of being embedded in the Fort Belvoir Soldier Recovery Unit (SRU) coordinating care for seriously ill/injured Active-Duty Service Members transitioning into the VA Health Care System. Likewise, Kelley has served in additional assignments/roles within Polytrauma/Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic and the Post 911 Military 2 VA program.
