Dr. Yvette S. Weber serves as the program executive officer for the Program Executive Office, Defense Healthcare Management Systems. The mission of PEO DHMS is to transform the delivery of health care and advance data sharing for service members, veterans, and their families. Dr. Weber oversees and provides guidance to multiple program management offices, including the DOD Healthcare Management System Modernization’s delivery and management of a single, common, federal electronic health record; the Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems’ delivery of operational medicine capabilities; and the Enterprise Intelligence and Data Solutions’ integration of data systems to enable data availability and accelerate innovation.
Dr. Weber most recently served as the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Science, Technology and Engineering, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics), where she accelerated the Air Force technological advantage by enabling world class scientists and engineers to securely transition cutting edge science, technology, and prototyping and transform experimentation and engineering capabilities. She supported the Air Force Acquisition Executive by providing technical advice and counsel on major acquisition programs and rapid prototyping. She assisted in the functional management of more than 18,000 military and civilian engineers and advised the preparation of policy, guidance, and advocacy for the Air Force’s annual $2.9 billion science and technology program and $1 billion developmental prototyping and experimentation program. Prior to assuming this position, Dr. Weber served as the Air Force Deputy PEO, Weapons and Deputy Director, Armament Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Dr. Weber entered civil service in 1992 prior to completing her Ph.D. in Engineering. She held various assignments in the Air Force Research Laboratory, Headquarters for Air Force Materiel Command, and at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. These assignments spanned the spectrum of technology research, development, and test; systems engineering policy; engineering leadership and management; and system program management across a wide variety of Air Force weapon systems.
