Field Operations Manager, Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service Department of Veterans Affairs

Alison Cormier, Field Operations Manager for Rehabilitation and Prosthetic Service, Washington D.C., is responsible for all field operations at VA Medical Centers nationwide. Oversight responsibility includes field Quality and Compliance; Technical Career Field Program; Community Care coordination; Improper Payments and Elimination of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse, and Office of Inspector General mitigation; Women’s Emphasis and Veteran Service Organization Partnership; amongst other large national initiatives impacting veteran’s healthcare. She has twenty-two years of VHA experience which includes: Sr. Advisor and Executive Officer, VACO; Salt Lake City VA Healthcare System Service Chief for Prosthetic and Sensory Aids, Logistics, and Sterile Processing Services. Before her VHA appointment in 2002, she served eight years on active duty in the United States Air Force as a Logistician. Mrs. Cormier has a total of 30 years of federal service. Mrs. Cormier earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Troy University. She is a graduate of the VISN 19 Leadership Development Institute (LDI), the National Leadership VA (LVA) Program, and the National Healthcare Leadership Development Program (HCLDP).
