Dr. Robert Mantz

Dr. Robert Mantz is the Principal Director for Renewable Energy Generation and Storage (REG&S) in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD (R&E)). With over 37 years of federal service, Dr. Mantz has held key positions in the Army Research Office and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), overseeing critical programs in biofuels, energy storage, and advanced power sources. He brings extensive expertise in scientific and technical development, shaping the strategic direction for implementing renewable energy solutions across the Department of Defense (DoD).
