Business Operations Support Chief, Electronics Maintenance Group, Ogden Air Logistics Complex, Hill Air Force Base US Air Force

John W. Sowder is the Business Operations Support Chief for Electronics Maintenance group of the Ogden Air Logistics Complex, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He is responsible for cost, schedule, and quality of depot electronic aerospace commodities of the A-10, B-52, C-130, F-16, F-15, F-22, F-35 and T-38 aircraft, and the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system. Additionally, the Electronics Maintenance Group produces aerospace commodities that include electronics, avionics, instruments, power systems, and software for the assigned weapon systems, and is the generators center of excellence for the United States Air Force. Responsibilities extend to operating locations in Japan, Colorado, Florida, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Montana.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Sowder was the Chief of Training and Innovation for the 309 Maintenance Training Group for Ogden logistic center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He was responsible for the effective operations for depot technical school, maintenance training, courseware development, and training innovation initiatives for over 8500 personnel at OO-ALC depot. The 309 Maintenance Training Group is responsible for training on aircraft structural, avionics systems, landing gear, secondary power systems, intercontinental ballistic missile, and space, command control communications & intelligence.
