Lieutenant General Carlo Lamanna

Head of the Training and Doctrine Command Italian Army

From 15th December 2020 to 7th April 2022, in addition to the position of Project Team Leader for the Constitution of MND-S HQ, Lieutenant General Carlo LAMANNA was appointed as Deputy Commander of the Land Operational Forces Command and Army Operational Command in Rome. Lieutenant General Carlo Lamanna took part at ISAF IX military operation in Afghanistan, as Chief Joint Fires and Targeting within ISAF HQ, and to Leonte XI military operation within UNIFIL, Lebanon, as Sector West Commander.

He holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Bologna University, Diplomatic and International Science from Trieste University and Military Strategic Science from Turin University. Moreover, he attended the 1st level Mediterranean Geopolitics Master in Cassino University. He is qualified as Engineer.

He is married with Mrs. Laura and they have two sons and two daughters.

Since 8th April 2022, Lieutenant General Carlo LAMANNA heads the Training and Doctrine Command of the Italian Army in Rome.
