Mr. Christopher ‘Newg’ Boyle is the Technical Director for Fleet Training Technologies, overseeing the Live Virtual, Constructive (LVC) environment policy, requirements and execution. Mr. Boyle directly oversees a workforce of USFFC Military, Civilian and contractor support personnel who advocate and execute the Commander, USFFC strategy for LVC and directs the actions of the NSWC Corona Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) program of over 1000 government employees and contractors to support the Fleet’s training requirements.
Mr. Boyle served for 26 years in the United States Navy, flying F-14 and F/A-18 aircraft, commanding at the squadron and wing level, serving overseas, and participating in multiple combat deployments. His career path afforded extensive experience in requirements, training and readiness, as well as significant strike warfare planning and employment.
Following active duty service, Mr. Boyle went into the defense industry, serving in leadership roles at both large and small companies focusing on providing aviation training services and platforms to the US Navy. Mr. Boyle’s wide areas of commercial expertise included business development, proposal and capture activities, corporate finance, program management, and contracts. His accomplishments included the initiation of over $1B of new training and services to government customers. He returned to government service in 2021, serving in his current role.
Mr. Boyle received a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the US Naval Academy in 1992 and received a Master of Arts in National Security Studies from the US Naval War College.
