Chief Engineer, Hypersonic Weapons Phantom Works Advanced Weapons Boeing Defense, Space & Security

Mr. Franklin serves as the Chief Engineer for hypersonic weapon programs in Boeing’s Phantom Works Advanced Weapons division and is an Associate Technical Fellow in Hypersonic Aerothermodynamics. He has over 16 years of experience working on hypersonic and launch vehicles and has served as chief engineer for both airbreathing and boost-glide hypersonic programs. He was the aerothermal lead for multiple hypersonic and launch vehicle development efforts and has provided his expertise to several other weapons, space and technology development efforts. Mr. Franklin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University.
