Ryan Carr

Supervisory Federal Air Marshal, UAS Unit, Federal Air Marshal Service Transportation Security Administration

Mr. Carr joined the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) in May 2010. Mr. Carr is a Supervisory Federal Air Marshal overseeing the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Unit at TSA Headquarters.

Mr. Carr began his career out of the Baltimore Field Office. In 2014, Mr. Carr was selected for reassignment to FAMS’ Information Coordination Section (ICS). While assigned to ICS, Mr. Carr was selected for detail assignments to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Terrorist Screening Center (TSC) and International Terrorism Operations Sections (ITOS), serving in these positions from 2015-2019.

In 2020 Mr. Carr was reassigned to the Washington Field Office, and later joined the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Unit that year.

Prior to joining FAMS, Mr. Carr worked at the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Inspector General and DHS’ Office of Intelligence and Analysis.

Mr. Carr holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in History and Political Science from Drew University (Madison, NJ), and Master’s degrees in International Relations and Security Studies from the University of Chicago (Chicago, IL) and the University of Maryland (College Park, MD).
