Robert Costello is the Chief Information Officer at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), leading technology solutions for CISA. Previously, he was a Public Sector Civilian Strategic Advisor at World Wide Technology, solving complex challenges for federal government customers. Costello has over 16 years of experience at DHS, including roles at Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). At CBP, he was the Executive Director of the Office of Information and Technology Enterprise Networks and Technology Support Directorate, overseeing the modernization of DHS’s largest data network and implementing zero trust solutions. He also managed the agency’s land mobile radio network, the National Law Enforcement Communications Center, and software development for the U.S. Border Patrol. A nine-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves, Costello holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Fordham University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Project Management Professional.
