James J. Sawyer

Division Chief, Stryker & Artillery Product Support Integration Directorate, US Army TACOM, Integrated Logistics Support Center US Army

James (JJ) Sawyer is from Rindge, New Hampshire. He began his career as a Department of the Army Intern at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia in 2008. Upon completion of the Intern Program, he accepted an assignment with TACOM, serving first as a Major Item Manager in the Ground Combat Support Readiness and Sustainment Directorate in Rock Island, Illinois. Since then, he has held numerous positions within the Ground Combat Systems Readiness & Sustainment Directorate at the Detroit Arsenal, including stints as an Artillery Team Leader and Infantry Section Leader. His previous assignment was as a Branch Chief for Program Manager – Armored Fighting Vehicles within Program Executive Office – Ground Combat Systems.

JJ holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the George Washington University and a Master of Science in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. In addition, he is also a graduate of the Army Management Staff College’s Civilian Education System Advanced Course and the Quartermaster Basic Officer Leader Course.
