Mr. Nathan E. Hawley serves as the Director for the Munitions and Logistics Readiness Center at the Joint Munitions Command. In this position, he has responsibility for providing joint conventional munitions acquisition sustainment, readiness and logistics direction for all U.S. military services and allies.
Hawley started his career as a Program Manager, Computer Scientist and Supply System Analyst at the Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command.
He joined JMC in 2009 in support of the Enterprise Resource Planning SAP implementation. Hawley was then promoted to the Chief of Logistics Integration responsible for managing the ammunition inventory, accountability, stock control, storage, requisitions and cataloging for the wholesale munitions stockpile. In 2013, he became the Chief of Logistics Planning responsible for the commands Enterprise Strategy, Sales and Operations Planning and the centralized planning of Distribution, Storage and Demilitarization.
In December 2015, Hawley was promoted to the Director of Supply Planning where his primary focus areas involved establishing a centralized plan for Production, Distribution, Storage and Demilitarization. Hawley was then competitively selected to serve as the Deputy to the Munitions Logistics Readiness Center in 2018 and then officially became the Director for the Munitions and Logistics Readiness Center in 2019.
Starting October 2021, in support of the CG, Army Materiel Command, Hawley served on the Organic Industrial Base Modernization Task Force responsible for developing a 15 year modernization plan for the Army 23 Organic Industrial Base Depots, Plants and Arsenals.
Hawley then returned to JMC in 2022 to serve as the Interim Deputy Commander and Executive Director of Ammunition to where he then returned to his position as the Director of the MLRC.
Hawley is a native of Peoria, Illinois, and a graduate of St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration. Hawley began his federal career in June 2004.
Hawley is Level III Army Acquisition Corps certified in Life Cycle Logistics and is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps. He is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Hawley has received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award and multiple CG, AMC awards for his service.
