Mr. Kevin Sampels is the Senior Air Force Account Executive for Palantir where he focuses on empowering the Air Force to effectively integrate data, enhance decision making capability, and maximize operational capabilities.
Previously, Mr. Sampels served as Associate Vice President at LinQuest where he led all Logistics growth activities for the LinQuest Corporation and was responsible for developing and executing corporate strategy to expand the Lin Quest portfolio across the Federal market. He serviced clients from across the entire Department of Defense providing advanced analytics, engineering, technology development, and operational solutions.
Mr. Sampels is a retired Air Force Colonel, with over 36 years on active duty. He has served at all levels in the Air Force, commanded multiple organizations, and deployed in support of numerous operations and exercises around the world. He is a highly experienced logistician and has successfully delivered logistics support services to the Air Force and Joint Warfighters around the globe. His many years of logistics experience include expertise in systems acquisition; demand planning, supply planning, supply chain design; storage operations; global distribution; organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance; and material disposition. Additionally, he is certified by the Department of Defense in both Lifecyle Logistics and Program Management.
Mr. Sampels held numerous key staff, command and operational positions during his Air Force career. At Headquarters Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), he served as the Executive Officer to the Director of Logistics Operations, then Chief of the Directors Action Group, and culminating his military career as the Chief Strategy Officer for Logistics Operations. At Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, he served as Chief of the Resource Integration Division. He also served at Headquarters Air Force as Air Force Chief of the Depot Maintenance Activity Group and at Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) as Executive Officer to two different HQ AFMC Commanders. His command positions include serving as 374th Maintenance Group Commander, 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander, 586th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander and 51st Maintenance Operations Squadron Commander.
Mr. Sampels is a Board member of the Institute for Defense and Business (IDB), providing education and development experiences through custom designed programs that build and transform leaders of Defense and Business. He is also the Vice Chair of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Logistics Management Division, focused on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics support to the warfighter. He is also the Senior Advisor for the Logistics Officer Association (LOA) Board, Chief of the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) Defense Logistics and Support Advisory Board, and Senior Advisor on the Aviation Week Network Advisory Committee.
Mr. Sampels holds a Master of Science degree in Military Studies from Air University, a Master of Science in Military Operational Arts and Science from Air University, a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management from Regis University.
