MAJOR FORREST J. CRAVEN

Major Forrest J. Craven is currently assigned to 9th Air Force, Air Forces Central, as the Branch Chief of Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems. He is 33 years old and was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from the University of Virginia, where he received his commission through Reserve Officer Training Corps, in 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering Science; Major Craven earned a Master of Arts in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma in 2022. Following Undergraduate Air Battle Manager Training at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Major Craven was assigned to the 964th Airborne Air Control Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma in 2014. In 2019, Major Craven transferred to the 605th Test and Evaluation Squadron, Detachment 1, also at Tinker Air Force base, and was an operational test subject matter expert and flight commander until his permanent change of station to 9th Air Force at Shaw Air Force Base in 2023. Major Craven is married to Jennifer Craven and has one son, Callan. Major Craven’s accolades include: Squadron Senior Director of 2018, distinguished graduate of Squadron Officer School in 2020, the Air and Space Expeditionary Service Ribbon with 2nd oak leaf cluster, and the Air Medal with 3rd oak leaf cluster. Major Craven was last actively qualified as an Evaluator Section Lead in Command on the E-3G Airborne Warning and Control System and has a total of 2,500 flight hours
