Jennifer Smith , M.Ed

Deputy Director Joint Counter-small Unmanned Systems University, US Army

Ms. Jennifer Smith currently serves in Fort sill, Oklahoma, Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), as the Deputy Director, Joint Counter-small Unmanned Systems University (JCU). Ms. Smith is a current resident of Apache, OK and mother to her two sons, Tyler, Cole and daughter Grayce. Born at Fort Sill, OK to a Field Artillery NCO and raised in Elgin, Oklahoma. Jennifer attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Journalism and continued her education at Oklahoma State University graduating with a Master of Science in Teaching, Learning and Leadership. She currently serves as the Vice President of Boone-Apache Public School Board.

Ms. Smith started her career as an educator with Great Plains and Caddo Kiowa Technology Centers as in instructor and curriculum developer. She began her career in the U.S. Army Civilian Corp in 2011 continuing in the field of education as the Branch Chief for the Field Artillery Enlisted School, Instructional Systems Specialist and Lifecycle Program Manager. In 2016 Ms. Smith was selected to serve as the Leader Development/Education Analyst for the Air Defense Artillery School ADA Commandant. She was responsible for implementing the Army Learning Model across all the Air Defense education portfolio and establishing the ADA credentialling program working with Great Plains Technology Center, Red River Technology Center, in addition to the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, and University of Central Oklahoma
