Darryl Daniel

Deputy Director and Chief Technology Officer Houston Airport System

Darryl Daniel is a Deputy Director and Chief Technology Officer at Houston Airports where he leads the Communications Technology, Technology Infrastructure, Applications and Support, IT Security, and the Technology PMO business units. In this capacity, he is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of all technology and communications systems supporting George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), and Ellington Airport (EFD) – home of Houston Spaceport as well as developing and aligning technology vision with business strategy.

With 25 years of experience in airport systems and technology consulting, Darryl’s background includes time with EDS, Continental Airlines, AviDel Consulting, and Burns Engineering.

Darryl is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute, a certified International Airport Professional (IAP) by the Global ACI-ICAO professional accreditation program, a licensed commercial pilot, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering.

Additionally, Darryl is currently serving as the Vice-Chair of Airport Council International – North America’s (ACI-NA) Business Information Technology (BIT) committee and is a member of the Amadeus worldwide Airport Community Council. Darryl has formerly served as the Honeywell Integrated Security Users Group Aviation Vertical Market Chair.
