Commander, 505th Command and Control Wing (CCW) US Air Force

Col. Ryan T. Hayde is the Commander, 505th Command and Control Wing (CCW), Hurlburt Field, Fla. The mission of the wing is to prepare and enable the joint force to execute war-winning command and control (C2) of air power. As Commander, Col. Hayde is responsible for testing and delivering advanced C2 systems, and training C2 personnel. The 505th CCW is comprised of the 505th Test and Training Group at Hurlburt Field, Fla., 505th Combat Training Group at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., and Detachment 1, 505th CCW at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.

Col. Hayde was commissioned in 2001 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has served in a variety of flying positions during assignments in Pacific Air Forces and Air Combat Command. He commanded the 354th Fighter Squadron (FS) at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz. and has flown numerous combat missions in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and RESOLUTE SUPPORT

Col. Hayde is a Command Pilot with more than 2,000 hours in multiple aircraft and including more than 500 combat hours in the A-10A and A-10C. Prior to his current position, the colonel was the Vice Commander, 23rd Wing, Moody AFB, Ga
