Major Ronisha Carter

Cyberwarfare and Artificial Intelligence Fellow US Air Force

Major Ronisha Carter is the Air Force's Cyberwarfare and Artificial Intelligence Fellow, at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role she conducts research at one of the world’s most renowned institutions for Artificial Intelligence. Her research focuses on emerging Artificial Intelligence technology, their strategic implications on the Department of defense, and pipelines for developing technical talent. Additionally, she supports Air Force initiatives through Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute, ensuring the Department of Defense stays on the cutting edge of strategic innovation and technological advancements.

Major Carter joined the Air Force in December 2002 as a Computer Systems Operator. She completed Officer Training School in May of 2013 to become a Cyberspace Operations Officer. Throughout her career, she has been appointed to a series of technical and leadership roles including Executive Officer, Future Operations Branch Chief, Joint Director of Communications, Special Tactics Wing Director of Communications, Education with Industry VMware Fellow, Director of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, and Deputy Chief of Artificial Intelligence Test and Operations.
