Matt is the Director of business development and sales - Defense at Velo3D. Matt and his team specialize in helping companies get the most out of Velo3D capabilities for their end part applications to drive towards production manufacturing solutions. He started his career in backup power generation before moving to commercial aviation, where he worked on high-pressure turbine blade design for commercial jet engines. Matt started working with additive manufacturing in 2017, and he has experience with several disciplines, including laser powder bed fusion, electron beam melting, and binder jetting. Matt’s previous roles include engineering responsibilities at GE Additve, GE Aviation and Caterpillar. Matt is a ‘hell of an engineer’ and holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
